Department of Family & Community Medicine
The Department of Family and Community Medicine (DFCM) is comprised of 40 physicians and allied health providers who provide a wide range of services to our patients throughout the community.
DFCM has expanded from the department�s traditional organizational role of providing only ambulatory primary care. Members of the DFCM are actively involved in a broad range of practice activities, education activities, research projects and community services throughout the Valley of the Sun, providing:
Staffing seven Family Health Centers for MIHS.
Urgent Care Services at Phoenix Memorial Hospital.
Patient care at Maricopa County TB, STD and Homeless Clinic.
Primary care for three in-patient Juvenile Psychiatric Centers.
Complementary Alternative Medicine Service.
Obstetrical care for the Native American Community Health Center.
The Department is committed to supporting the Phoenix community with affordable, consistent and innovative healthcare � in the neighborhoods where people need it � the neighborhoods they live in.
