Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is comprised of 14 full time generalists and specialists, and 30 residents who participate in the Phoenix Integrated OB/Gyn Program. A very busy obstetrical practice with over 3500 babies born every year includes:
A modern 20-room labor and delivery suite with state-of-the-art surroundings.
The Maternity Package Plan for mothers who deliver their babies at Maricopa Medical Center with complete prenatal maternity care for one affordable price.
Midwife services.
As well as obstetrics, the Department other specialties include
Perinatology.
Reproductive endocrinology and fertility.
Gynocologic oncology.
Uro-gynecology.
Pelvic restoration.
The Department is dedicated to research, and is extremely active, with grants and usually 25 or more research projects being conducted at a time between faculty and residents.
